February 11, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
On Wednesday, February 27, WGN America is debuting GONE, a drama about a special task force that investigates abductions and people who have gone missing.
The series—which previously ran internationally—follows Kick Lannigan (Leven Rambin), who was abducted as a child. Years later, her rescuer, Frank Novak (Chris Noth), sets up a special team with the goal of reuniting missing victims with their loved ones. Danny Pino, Tracie Thoms, and Andy Mientus also star.
“That relationship develops over time,” Noth explains of the unusual bond between Kick and Frank in the exclusive video below. “Sort of into a father-daughter relationship…[and] she has a psychic relationship, almost, with abductors.”
And she isn’t the only one. “The task force that Frank has assembled are basically all adults who Frank had something to do with investigating their cases as children,” Pino teases. “And he has brought them into the fold of this special team.”
“What sets this show apart is we all have a very personal connection and understanding of the victims and what they’re going through,” Rambin adds.
