THE MASKED SINGER: Rewatch the Best Performances from Season 1

THE MASKED SINGER concludes its wild first season with a two-hour finale—that will both crown a champion and unmask the final three singers—and it’s been one heck of a debut year for the show.

Sure, the gimmick of the costumes has been fun (and the clue-gathering has been ridiculously fun), but there have also been some truly impressive performances.

In honor of the finale, we picked four memorable showstoppers for you to rewatch before the season closes out…

The Monster, “Stay with Me.” Look, it would almost be enough that the Monster costume regularly gets dressed up/changed for each performance, but the still-unmasked singer genuinely does a chill-inducing rendition of the Sam Smith song.

The Bee, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” The Bee is still unmasked, but it seems pretty apparent who she really is. And, frankly, every performance has been incredible. But hearing her voice paired with this remarkable song was one of the best moments of the season thus far.

The Lion, “California Dreamin'”…Look, there’s a reason Fox used Rumer Willis‘ take on the song in many of the show’s early promotions. The fact that she’s not in the finale is criminal; if there’s any justice, she’ll be taken seriously as a singer in the future.

The Rabbit, “Wake Me Up.” Not one person committed as hard to the bit as Joey Fatone did. From his constant head twitching to his *NSYNC-era commitment to the choreography, he was in.
