Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE GOLDBERGS: Um, I want a Bev Goldberg cookbook. I probably couldn’t even eat half of the things, but cheese on everything just sounds like heaven. (Please and thank you.)

CHICAGO MED: This Connor and Ava nonsense cannot stand. They’re—mostly Ava—being so unprofessional and someone is going to end up dying.

Now that Ethan broke up with Vicki, is he actually going to reunite with April, or is something else going to come up? And I get why the writers are having Will move on as Natalie is, but Natalie at least had a bit more groundwork. I expected Manstead to reunite before the season ends, but how serious will they get with others before they do?

THE MASKED SINGER: Is it weird I already missed this bonkers show? It brought me joy, it was an hour of unexpected insanity. And, um, T-Pain can REALLY sing.

CHICAGO FIRE: Poor Brett. But, my goodness, Casey needs a freaking break. At least Otis made his hockey shot…that seems way more complicated than a just $10,000 prize.

WHISKEY CAVALIER: It’s not secret I love shows like this, but it’s also a very tough genre to get right. Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan have great chemistry, and the first episode is genuinely fun. I’m really excited to see more.

Also, as much as I absolutely love Vancouver (and Los Angeles), it was refreshing to see a show actually shooting internationally.

CHICAGO P.D.: I spent much of the episode going back and forth on whether Voight would lose his C.I.; it felt almost too morbid to go down that way, but also felt way more realistic/true to the show’s tone. And, yeah, they were only a few minutes too late—but it did push Voight to throw a bomb into the political race, which is going to be a constant headache for him going forward.
