AMERICAN IDOL Highlight: Myra Tran Wows With ‘One Night Only’

AMERICAN IDOL kicked off season 17—and its second go-round on ABC—with a gaggle of good/memorable performers, but arguably no one stood out, vocally, like Myra Tran.

The teen (who is still in high school!) auditioned with Jennifer Hudson’s “One Night Only”…and her take prompted judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan to laugh with joy, high-five each other, and give Tran a standing ovation when she was done.
