About Last Night…THE FLASH and MASTERCHEF JUNIOR
March 13, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday night TV!
THE FLASH: Man, the idea of losing Nora soon is a bit of a bummer. (Though her parents are going to be devastated when they learn she’s been working with Eobard.)
The second Cicada was actually a twist I didn’t see coming until this episode, so that will be interesting to play out. Fight with Grace and Team Flash was pretty great.
(I know this is the second episode that had Jesse L. Martin back, but my goodness he has been missed. I hope he’s feeling better, and also, he can never leave us again, OK?)
MASTERCHEF JUNIOR: The wee children are back! (Well, new wee children.) It’s a little bit hard when there are this many contestants to get a real feel for who they are, but, man, the kids supporting each other and getting genuinely upset when their competition leaves is still rough.
But it was a fun two-episode premiere. The school lunch challenge was interesting—as was the twist of having the safe contestants split the remaining chefs into three groups of different meals—and allowed for them to show a bit more freedom. The second episode’s lobster challenge didn’t feel as fun; I felt bad for the kids having to pick their lobster out of the tank. (It also felt like we didn’t get to see as much of their process.)
