CHICAGO FIRE’s Kara Killmer on the ‘Excitement’ of Crossing Over in the ONE CHICAGO Universe

The ONE CHICAGO universe has crossover over multiple times over the years—both in both big events and small moments—and in addition to making the world feel more realistic, it’s also a joy for the actors who work on the shows.

“It’s mostly excitement,” CHICAGO FIRE’s Kara Killmer (Brett) told reporters about the change in energy during the show’s crossover moments. “We are all very close. We’re all such good friends. When we visit the other shows or the other shows visit us, it is like visiting your extended family. When we’re all together, it is like, ‘Oh, hi Jesse Lee Soffer! Welcome home’…it’s a good time, it’s what it is.”
