About Last Night…THE VOICE, THE FLASH, and THE ROOKIE
April 17, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV…
THE VOICE: Well…it feels they’ve already misused the saves/steals. So many undeserving people are moving ahead after really, really botching their Monday night performance. But it at least felt fun; I wonder how this will really impact the competition going forward.
THE FLASH: It’s really depressing that both THE FLASH and ARROW have big storylines where neither superhero got to play a meaningful role in their child’s life. Barry is also a bit of a hypocrite considering how much he’s messed with time—including ERASING DIGGLE’S DAUGHTER FROM EXISTENCE—to totally be so blunt with Nora. She screwed up; absolutely. But yikes.
THE ROOKIE: The Lucy/Tim partnership was the true best part of the season. Wow, what a real surprise that has been.
I’m a bit disappointed the rookies didn’t end up taking the test this season. Yes, it might have bought us an extra episode or two with a cast member, but it felt a bit like the goal post moved. And, yeah, they had the cliffhanger with Tim collapsing, but they also established the vaccine wasn’t solid…so I’d guess his collapse was due to that.
I do hope the show returns for season 2, though. It really was solid and the ensemble is one of the best on TV.
