Showtime Renews BLACK MONDAY
April 29, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Showtime has renewed BLACK MONDAY for a second season. The ’80s-set comedy—which follows the events that led up to the Wall Street crash known as Black Monday—stars Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells, and Regina Hall.
“BLACK MONDAY mines big comedy from the greed, the style, the music, and the excess of the ’80s, but it’s also sneaky smart in its social commentary about that era – and indirectly, our current era as well,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. “We can’t wait to see what inspired depravity David [Caspe] and [Jordan Cahan] will cook up in season two.”
The 10-episode second season will air on Showtime in 2020.
