GAME OF THRONES may be ending, but a gaggle of spinoffs and prequels are still ahead—and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has some ideas for what they could do.
With Kit Harrington hosting, the late-night series offered up a bunch of options, including kids’ shows, CERSEI IN THE CITY, THE MARVELOUS MRS. MELISANDRE, and one heck of a crossover: GAME OF THRONES: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (with real SVU stars Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T cameoing).

In 2016, Fox aired the charming and delightful drama PITCH—co-created by Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer—about the first female player to make it to the MLB. The ten-episode season followed Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury) as she navigated playing at the highest level on the San Diego Padres and dealing with the reality of being a trailblazer.
Unfortunately, Fox opted to not renew the series–which ended on a cliffhanger—and it seemed destined to be a short-lived cult classic. (The series has been off-on legal streaming sites; a DVD set was finally released in 2018.)
