About Last Night…SUPERSTORE, GREY’S ANATOMY, MOM, and More

Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!
THE BIG BANG THEORY: Christine Baranski and Johnny Galecki were absolutely fantastic in their final scene together.
SUPERSTORE: As much as I’m enjoying Amy as manager, I’m bummed she didn’t get to partake in the store’s laser tag game. (Well, beyond Jonah picking her up as using her as a human shield.)
With the second episode…uh, yeah, Jonah and Amy really, really didn’t think it through if they created new accounts who exclusively tweeted about Cloud 9’s mistakes. And using the employee wifi? Yikes.
Dina lighting Garrett’s shoes on fire was so dramatic…and it’s kind of terrifying how clear she was this isn’t over/she won’t forgive him. I’m curious to see how that plays out for them going forward. (And if she’ll learn that Amy knew, too.)
(I full-on gasped when they threw away the rookie Mickey Mantle baseball card. And ripping up the vintage comic!)
GREY’S ANATOMY: Uh, wow, did not realize that insurance fraud was also “going to jail”-worthy. (It makes sense, and Meredith was very, very dumb to do it from the start.) I really wish I loved DeLuca and Meredith more, because this is an incredible gesture.
Teddy’s speech about being alive around Owen reminded me of SEX AND THE CITY’s finale when Carrie said something similar. But if this was all a long way of having Owen reveal that Amelia is the one he really loves…
As big as the episode was, I really loved the relatively quiet scene of Meredith and Jo talking about their pasts. Jo really needed the insight and support Meredith could give her. (It also felt quasi-final season-ish with all of the references to earlier seasons? Certainly this show has never been shy about acknowledging its past, but there was a lot of it.)
MOM: Adam and Bonnie’s original wedding was pretty perfect, but it also makes sense why their loved ones would be hurt to be excluded. I’m glad they had a real wedding, too.
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: The logline made it seem like a tricky needle to thread, and…well, there are some real things that don’t necessarily need to be run through the SVU lens. (It’s especially true when trying to work in three very, very highly divisive issues.)
(So, is that the end of the memo situation?)
