YOU’RE THE WORST: Paul F. Tompkins Reflects on the Craziest Sunday Funday Ever

YOU’RE THE WORST had fun with its increasingly convoluted “Sunday Funday” installments, and the final season’s “Bachelor/Bachelorette Party Sunday Funday” took things to a whole new level.

As Jimmy (Chris Geere) and Gretchen (Aya Cash) prepared for their wedding, Edgar (Desmin Borges) and Lindsay (Kether Donohue) set out to give them the craziest Sunday Funday ever. And, well, it was bonkers: thanks to the addition of Vernon (Todd Robert Anderson), Becca (Janet Varney), Paul (Allan McLeod), and eventually Paul F. Tompkins (who plays a fictionalized version of himself), things escalate until the group is involved in a (fake) double homicide.

“Shooting that kind of stuff is always tense, because there’s a lot of moving parts, you want it to get it right…you don’t want to be the one who screws it up,” Tompkins admits in the video below. “But everyone was relaxed, everyone was calm, everyone was still having fun…I just had the best time.”
