SUPERSTORE: Colton Dunn to Pen a Season 5 Episode

Colton Dunn is officially joining the ranks of SUPERSTORE stars who have stepped behind the camera: the actor, who portrays Garrett on the NBC series, will be penning a season 5 episode.

“I was excited to be in the writers’ room for a couple of weeks and work on breaking the story,” he told reporters at Comic-Con. “Now, I’m out to script on it.”

Dunn, who previously wrote for shows like MADTV and KEY AND PEELE, had been open about his desire to write for the series, but the timing had previously not worked out. Lauren Ash (who plays Dina) penned a season 3 episode; America Ferrera (Amy), Ben Feldman (Jonah), and Mark McKinney (Glenn) have directed installments over the series’ run.

As to what’s going on in the episode, “Garrett has some stuff to do in it,” so Dunn admitted he was happy to have some say in that storyline.
