THE FLASH’s Grant Gustin is Very Excited for Brandon Routh to Play Superman in the ARROWverse

When the ARROWverse stages its upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” one of the fun twists is that Brandon Routh (who has portrayed Ray Palmer/The Atom on ARROW and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW since 2014) will reprise one of his most iconic roles: Superman.

Routh portrayed the Man of Steel in 2006’s SUPERMAN RETURNS, but hadn’t played the role since. But for the massive crossover, both he and Tyler Hoechlin (who originated the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the ARROWverse) will portray the famous character.

Perhaps no one is more excited about that than THE FLASH star Grant Gustin, an avowed SUPERMAN fan…who went all out for the theatrical debut of Routh’s film. In the video below, Gustin talked with reporters about how he found out Routh would once again be donning the Super suit and his own fandom…
