Sacha Baron Cohen is taking a serious turn for his new Netflix limited series.
In 60s-set THE SPY, “Israeli clerk-turned-secret agent Eli Cohen goes deep undercover inside Syria on a perilous, years-long mission to spy for Mossad,” the streaming platform teases. Cohen plays Cohen, “a man who wants nothing more than to be of service to his country, but he does his job so well that he finds it hard to strip off his double identity. Noah Emmerich (The Americans) plays Dan Peleg, Eli’s Mossad handler who tries to ease his own guilt over the sacrifices Eli makes, Hadar Ratzon Rotem (Homeland) portrays Eli’s wife, Nadia, who is left to raise their family on her own and knows something isn’t right about her husband’s government job, and Waleed Zuaiter (Colony) plays Amin Al-Hafez, a military officer who thinks he’s found the perfect ally in the undercover Cohen.” The series is written/directed by Gideon Raff.

Hulu has released the official key art for its adaptation of LOOKING FOR ALASKA.
The eight-part series—from Josh Schwartz—is adapted from the John Green novel by the same name. Per Hulu, “Set in 2005, it centers around teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer), as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life. He falls in love with Alaska Young (Kristine Froseth), and finds a group of loyal friends. But after an unexpected tragedy, Miles and his close friends attempt to make sense of what they’ve been through.” The limited series also stars Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, Jordan Connor, Ron Cephas Jones, and Timothy Simons.

As ARROW heads into its final season, the Diggle family will come front and center…especially now that John Diggle, Jr. (Charlie Barnett) will pop up in the future timeline.
“There will be loose ends tied up,” David Ramsey (John Diggle) told reporters in the video below. The relationship between he and his sons, I think we’re going to find out [more about]. The relationship between he and his father. There’s a lot in ten episodes we’ll be finding out about. And Lyla is a pivotal piece in these upcoming ten episodes. And ultimately what happens with the Green Lantern mythos.”

ABC released the first nine minutes of its new drama EMERGENCE at 3:10 AM on August 27. (The time has a significance for the show: 3:10 AM is when the events of the pilot kick off.)
In the Allison Tolman-led drama, her character, Jo, is a police chief who is drawn to a mysterious young child (Alexa Swinton) that she finds near an accident site. Per ABC, “The investigation draws Jo into a conspiracy larger than she ever imagined and the child’s identity is at the center of it all.”
The series, from writers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, also stars Owain Yeoman, Ashley Aufderheide, Robert Bailey Jr., Zabryna Guevara, Donald Faison, and Clancy Brown.

In the new Apple TV+ series, DICKINSON “is a coming-of-age story that finds Emily Dickinson to be an unexpected hero for our millennial era.” With the series is set in in the 19th century, when the real Dickinson lived, the poet struggles against “the constraints of society, gender and family.”
The series, which is set to debut this fall, also stars Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, and Adrian Blake Enscoe.
