THE CROWN Teaser: Olivia Colman Debuts as The Queen
September 20, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Things are changing at THE CROWN, as evidenced in the new teaser for season 3.
In the show’s third season, the drama follows the Queen (now played by Olivia Colman) from 1964-1967. Per Netflix, the era “sees a new guard sweep into Downing Street, as Queen Elizabeth and her family struggle to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing Britain. From cold-war paranoia, through to the jet-set and the space age – the exuberance of the 1960s and the long hangover of the 1970s – Elizabeth and the Royals must adapt to a new, more liberated, but also more turbulent world.”
In addition to Colman, other new cast members include Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Ben Daniels as Tony Armstrong-Jones, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Marion Bailey as The Queen Mother, and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
Check out the teaser, which will air during the Emmy telecast…
