AMERICAN SON: Netflix Releases Trailer for Adaptation of Kerry Washington-Steven Pasquale Broadway Play

Netflix released the first footage from its upcoming television event, AMERICAN SON, which is based on the Broadway play by the same name.
The special, which finds Kerry Washington, Steven Pasquale, Jeremy Jordan, and Eugene Lee reprising their original roles, tells the story of “Kendra Ellis-Connor (Washington), the mother of a missing teenage boy, as she struggles to put the pieces together in a South Florida police station.” The story, which is told from for different viewpoints, also navigates “the unique dynamic of an interracial couple trying to raise a mixed-race son.”
