CHICAGO P.D. Boss Teases a Surprising Resolution to Kelton’s Murder Case
September 25, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
CHICAGO P.D. will be down a crucial member when the show returns for its seventh season: Antonio Dawson (played by Jon Seda).
“There will be a little bit of a void,” executive producer Rick Eid admits. “The character of Antonio was a great character and was sort of the guy that could stand up to Voight and present a different point of view—[and] had the credibility and the gravitas to command Voight’s respect. So I think the question is will Halstead be able to step into that role seamlessly and sort of be that strong number two to Voight?”
Of course, the squad has a more pressing matter on their hands in the season premiere: Who killed Kelton (John C. McGinley)?
“The real question is did Voight kill Brian Kelton?” Eid teases. “That’s the journey we go on. Ultimately, we find out who really killed Brian Kelton, and it will be a surprise.”
