SUPERSTORE Cast, Creative Team Mourns Linda Porter
September 27, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Linda Porter, perhaps best known by television fans as SUPERSTORE’s Myrtle, has passed away at 86.
“Linda wasn’t just hilarious, she was incredibly sweet, energetic and enthusiastic—working with her brightened everyone’s day,” SUPERSTORE showrunners Jonathan Green and Gabe Miller said in a statement, on behalf of the entire cast and crew. “We’re lucky to have been a small part of her long career. The SUPERSTORE family won’t be the same without her.”
Porter worked steadily over the past three decades, appearing in shows like THE X-FILES, SCRUBS, TWIN PEAKS, ER, and GILMORE GIRLS. But her role on SUPERSTORE was her longest-running, as she appeared in 35 episodes over the first four seasons.
As news of Porter’s death spread, her SUPERSTORE colleagues posted their own tributes on social media.
