SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: Billy Porter, Lin-Manuel Miranda Cameo in Cold Open

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE tackled CNN’s LGBTQ Town Hall during the Saturday, October 12 cold open—and brought out a few fun faces.

In addition to regular cast members Kate McKinnon, Chris Redd, and Colin Jost appearing as Warren, Booker, and Buttigieg, recent host Woody Harrelson reprised his take on Joe Biden.

But after getting backlash for excluding candidate Julian Castro—and with no cast member to play him—the long-running variety brought in former host Lin-Manuel Miranda to play the former San Antonio mayor.

Additionally, Billy Porter channeled his POSE character and gave running commentary on the presidential nominee contenders.
