TED LASSO: Apple Orders Jason Sudeikis-Led Series

Apple has placed a series order for TED LASSO, a new comedy based on the Jason Sudeikis NBC Sports character.

The series was created by Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence and is currently in production in the U.K. In the comedy, “Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, an idealistic all-American football coach hired to manage an English football club — despite having no soccer coaching experience at all.”

This marks Sudeikis’ first full-time live-action role since his time on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.
