Let’s talk about Sunday’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: Maggie may periodically evil, but she’s still the best. I didn’t time it, but it felt like the intro into the episode was longer than the previous ones were, so it felt like the episodic segments were a bit shorter than normal.

BATWOMAN: This is probably bad, but Alice is my favorite. She’s such a fun villain, and her personal connection to everyone—which wasn’t hidden and then revealed 2/3rds of the way through the arc, like most shows would have done—just makes everything so much more delicious.

BOB’S BURGERS: It may not be a fair comparison, but I was underwhelmed by the Halloween episode. Last year’s installment was one of my favorite episodes of the year (overall), and I just didn’t connect to this one.

SUPERGIRL: While Lena’s frustration and anger makes sense, it’s still sad knowing how much her betrayal is going to destroy her friends.

WATCHMEN: The episode was gorgeously crafted, Regina King was incredible, there’s a lot of potential. It didn’t grab me quite as much as I wanted, but I’ll keep with it.

FAMILY GUY: Okay, I laughed hardest at the joke about RIVERDALE only getting 6,000 viewers. (I’m sorry, The CW.)

THE ROOKIE: I struggled a bit with Nolan’s new TO initially, but was intrigued by her by the end of the episode. Viewers know a whole lot more about her than the characters do, so I’m curious when she’ll open up to her colleagues/how long it’ll take for them to actually trust her.
