About Last Night…THE VOICE and PRODIGAL SON

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Man, it felt like there were a lot of straight-up bad choices this episode. I get the decisions get tougher the more the teams are narrowed down, but eesh. The highlights of the episode was Rose and Team Kelly’s final Knockout competitors. I’m very curious to see how far Hello Sunshine goes…they’re very good, but we’ve seen a duo go far exactly once during the show’s run.

PRODIGAL SON: This was probably my favorite episode of the season, so far. I loved Martin’s very, very, very messed up “family reunion” with Ainsley and Bright. (Even if there was a huge journalistic conflict of interest.) Of course he manipulated an inmate into attacking them so he could play hero. But now the big question is did he intentionally get moved to solitary to as part of another plan? And, if so, what is his end game?

Also, props to Bellamy Young for the perfect deadpan delivery when Jessica and Bright reunited post-lockdown and she expressed fake shock over things going awry. (And my kingdom to know more about what went down between Jessica and Gil.)
