CHICAGO MED Bosses, Star Tease Tease a Very Unusual Patient
November 13, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
CHICAGO MED has handled all sorts of medical drama over the past five seasons, but the doctors will have their hands full with the Wednesday, November 13 episode when they have to treat a social media influence.
“This person has a continuously going blog, on-camera,” executive producer Andrew Schneider told reporters in the video below. “So every aspect of this character’s life is being live-streamed, including his medical treatment and decisions about his medical treatment…his followers are participating in that. So it’s something they’ve never had to deal with before.”
“I loved that one,” adds Torrey DeVitto (Natalie). “When I read that story, it gave me the creeps, because I was like, ‘Oh my god, yes, this is realistic.'”
Because the patient is constantly filming what’s going on (such as the scene pictured above), it also allowed the show to experiment a bit in how the episode looks. Schneider and executive producer Diane Frolov explain more in the video below…
