Let’s talk about Monday’s TV!

THE VOICE: The dedication songs were interesting glimpses into who these contestants actually are. Some really seemed to lean into what they did well (Team Blake’s Ricky, Team Kelly’s Jake) and others…didn’t.

So many of the singers sounded truly off last night, something the coaches didn’t address…so I’m guessing it was a difference in what was heard vs. what it actually sounded like on TV. The odd thing about television is that there have absolutely been times while I was in the audience for a VOICE show that sounded incredible in-person, but just didn’t work on television. (And it works in reverse, too.)

I’m impressed Rose was able to hit the note in “I Turn to You,” but it also felt like she didn’t sing a quarter of the lyrics prior to it, so…

Team Legend’s Katie has to be the frontrunner at this point, right?
