About Last Night…THE FLASH, THE VOICE, ARROW, and More
November 27, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday’s TV!
THE FLASH: Man, Grant Gustin was great. We’ve seen Barry get glimpses of other lives and possibilities when he messes up the timeline, but this was so much darker and so much more twisted since we know Barry thinks he’s about to die. It’s interesting how the show had to play this, because you’d think any other year, this would have been the midseason finale. But since Barry has to be his regular self in time for “Crisis,” there’s still another episode to go…will there be another comparable cliffhanger?
THE VOICE: Hard to argue with the bottom two, and the weakest singer was definitely voted off. The runs were absolutely distracting; Myracle was a much better singer than we saw in recent episodes. Oh well.
ARROW: A GROUNDHOG DAY-esque episode certainly isn’t a new approach for television, but, man, what an episode. For Laurel to get closure with her quasi-father, for Oliver to realize he can’t fight some fated things…it wasn’t groundbreaking, but it was emotional and well-handled. The final season has been possibly the best the show has ever been.
CASTLE ROCK: The episode was so short it almost felt like a bridge/half-episode. I really, really want to know more about how The Kid fits into things and what comes next for Annie. Lizzy Caplan remains amazing, though.
