As the Cloud 9 employees were faced with learning a new company app in SUPERSTORE’s “Employee App,” the characters were delighted by one reveal: an audiobook of the CEO’s autobiography, which was read by Emily Deschanel.
“I’m a total BONEShead,” Sandra (Kaliko Kauahi) enthused. And Sandra didn’t waste any time downloading the audiobook, as Deschanel read the intro to the book—”Who Run the World? Me”—and the start of the Zephra CEO’s story.
So how did Deschanel—who had done previous voiceover work on THE SIMPSONS, AMERICAN DAD, and THE CLEVELAND SHOW—come to be on the show? NBC has ordered more of the ONE CHICAGO universe: CHICAGO FIRE, CHICAGO P.D., and CHICAGO MED have been renewed for three seasons each.
The news comes as executive producer Dick Wolf signed a five-year deal with Universal TV, which produces the shows, and NBC ordered three more seasons of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT. Read more

That record for longest-running primetime drama series isn’t getting taken away from LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT any time soon: the procedural has been renewed for a monster three additional seasons, through season 24.

Sofia Vergara‘s MODERN FAMILY may be coming to a head, but she’s won’t be off television for long: the actress has joined the AMERICA’S GOT TALENT judging panel, NBC announced.
“I’m so happy to join my new family on AGT,” Vergara said in a statement. “This is a new and exciting next chapter for me and I’m extremely proud to be the first Latin judge on the show. I can’t wait to watch all the talent and have fun with all you guys!”
Vergara joins returning judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel, as well as host Terry Crews. Heidi Klum, who took a hiatus from the regular version of the series (she judged THE CHAMPIONS), will also be back.
