Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE GOLDBERGS: I want THE GOLDBERGS’ real cookbook! And oh my God to Bev suddenly thinking she was famous.

Poor Dave Kim…of course the party he didn’t even want turned into a total mess. But hilarious Pops had to come and clean it up.

THE MASKED SINGER: Tony Hawk?! The first contestant of the season that completely threw me. Group B feels fairly solid so far; there’s no White Tiger among them.

SCHOOLED: Aw, poor Lainey. I’m very curious to see how far they take Lainey’s potential reunion with her mother, too.

I don’t know what the show has planned for CB/Lainey, but at this point, if he is moving on, I do hope we get a couple of seasons before they decide to revisit that relationship in a romantic sense. I miss their friendship.

MODERN FAMILY: A genuine question: When was the last time a show did a quasi-clip show? Prior to this, the last thing I can recall, from shows I watch, is CASTLE’s “Still.” I was truly shocked to see the show utilize the format. (It’s one I love when used in the right circumstances—and I’d argue this was—it was just really, really fascinating.)

The show had also put Mitch and Cam adopting so far into the rear view mirror that I truly didn’t guess they’d go back to it for the end. It could be a lovely twist if handled correct.
