About Last Night…SUPERSTORE, GREY’S ANATOMY, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS, and More

Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!
SUPERSTORE: Oh man, I flinched when Amy told Dina no one liked her. It felt like it could have been something from season 1 or 2 when Dina was a lot more harsh and isolated from the rest of the group. Yeah, she’s still rough around the edges at times, but she and Amy are (very odd) friends. But hey, Dina may be getting a hot vet boyfriend! She’s had a very hard year, as she noted, so if that brings her a bit of joy, I’m all for that.
Zephra‘s app is terrifying and I’m genuinely scared to know if that’s a thing that’s going on? Good lord. But Jonah pulling his elaborate prank on Garrett was hilarious. And Sandra saying yes to sending an email about a bomb to the police? Oh my GOD.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE: Uhhhhhh, Debbie stealing those drugs was one heck of a turn.
The best part of the episode, by far, was Rosa and Holt’s connection. They’re not overtly emotional in any kind of traditional sense, but Holt going to a bar to listen to music with Rosa—separate, but together—was a beautiful, heartfelt gesture.
GREY’S ANATOMY: Man, Amelia talking about how good things were with Link…that broke my heart? Ditto to Owen being so open about how hard he and Teddy fought to get to where they are. I can’t tell if this is leading to blowing up both couples (in a more permanent way) or they just want us to think both couples are about to implode.
I honestly have no clue how they will be able to plausibly write out Alex, but him ghosting Meredith, too, broke my heart. I know Meredith will have her sisters, but she’s lost her people and that hurts.
(And thank goodness Suzanne survived.)
MOM: I feel awful for Jill. She’s been pursuing motherhood for so many seasons, and it’s just not worked out with every avenue she’s tried. (IVF, fostering, and now freezing her eggs.) She obviously has the means to try again, but I wonder if she ultimately will. And if she doesn’t, will this just be the end of the road for her?
Bonnie and Adam discussing what their hypothetical kid would be like—and going from being loving to fighting to loving again in about 90 seconds—reiterates why they’re one of my favorite couples on TV.
WILL & GRACE: I just…don’t even know what to say when a show has its female lead, uh, pleasure a dolphin? Also, WHAT IS WRONG WITH JAMES?
A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: I still really struggle with how the show is handling the fallout of Eddie/Delilah, because they keep acting as if the two had a quick, meaningless fling. They were going to leave their spouses and start a life together! It makes sense to keep that from Theo, but we haven’t really seen Eddie process the changes; it’s just been him focusing on winning back Katherine and then coping with having a secret child.
James Roday was really, really great in the episode. He’s frequently been a quiet MVP, but man, his reaction to finding out Maggie was OK just broke my heart.
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: Well, that was a particularly twisted episode. Did the group of people not just think about forcing out Luna through non-illegal means? And how did Luna’s accuser NOT realize by claiming she was raped, Luna would be facing jail time? Everyone was pretty awful. But I loved Carisi and Hadid teaming up to get the bit of evidence they needed by poking holes in the story.
