From Lip Balm to a Car Part, Strange Items for the FRIENDS Fans in Your Life

More than 25 years after FRIENDS debuted, new products are being introduced into the marketplace pretty consistently.

Sure, some of them are the standard television merchandise: books, Pop! Funkos, DVD sets. But others? Well, they get very, very, very weird…

Update: Monday, July 24, 2023: Updating this post with very important news—there’s a Polly Pocket (yes, the children’s toy) FRIENDS set coming!! (It’s set to be released August 3.)

Lip balm:

The Central Perk coffee cups are cute, but it’s both very random and an odd choice of flavors. (You’d think at least one would be coffee-flavored?)

Monopoly:

On paper, a really exciting idea. But there are a number of weird choices, from the properties being episode titles and an odd assortment of pieces.

Bamboozled:

Okay, it doesn’t come with Talk Show Host! Joey, or probably a lot of the ridiculous rules. But it’s also kind of incredible it took this long for this game to be made into a real thing.

Cupcake toppers:

Hey, if you’re having a FRIENDS-themed party, these are perfect. (Maybe for the upcoming reunion?)

Apron:

Embrace your inner Gunther.

Dog bandana:

The…most iconic song from the series (outside of its theme) is “Smelly Cat.” Where are the cat-related items?!

Makeup case:

Speaking of “Smelly Cat,” this is adorable.

Wrapping paper:

Practical to wrap any of these other items in? But also kind of crazy.

Jewelry:

There have actually been a number of really nice FRIENDS-related jewelry pieces of late, but others feel a lot more late ’90s/early ’00s.

Stickers:

This is one where if you know, you know, but also if you know, do you really want a sticker of this?!

And the strangest TV-related item potentially ever: Valve stem cap:
