About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL, SUPERNATURAL, THE VOICE, and More
March 17, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Monday’s TV!
THE VOICE: Holy. Moly. Cedrice. It’s very possible John Legend’s final team member—and the last contestant to get through for the season—could win it all. And the (ineligible) coaches breaking the rules and turning around in their chairs to see her was such a great moment.
AMERICAN IDOL: I’m not sure how I feel about the new Hollywood Week format yet. Or, rather, I’m not sure how I feel about how the show chose to portray it. I think separating the contestants into their genres was really, really smart, as was letting everyone sing before giving feedback. But it felt a bit faster than normal, and we spent way too much time with a contestant who A) didn’t make it through and B) bombed her audition. (Despite what she claimed.)
SUPERNATURAL: Wow, it’s crazy Jody and Castiel never met in-person before this episode? I would never have guessed that prior to watching.
Also, um, is Chuck CRISIS-ing the other worlds? How is it that so many shows’ final seasons are mirroring the final season of ARROW???
PRODIGAL SON: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what was that final scene????
