HANNA: Watch a Teaser for Season 2
April 29, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
HANNA season 2 will launch on Friday, July 3, Amazon announced.
In the sophomore year, “Hanna now knows she is not the only young woman with unparalleled skill and elite training. The Utrax program has produced a whole contingent of highly trained teenagers whose development is about to reach the lethal ‘second phase.'” In addition to returning series stars Esmé Creed-Miles and Mireille Enos, Dermot Mulroney has joined the drama as “Utrax overseer” John Carmichael.
The series is based on Joe Wright’s 2011 film by the same name. The show’s eight-episode second season was penned by the film’s co-writer David Farr.
“I am very much looking forward to taking Hanna on the next stage of her journey,” Farr said when the series was renewed. “It’s been a wonderful experience so far, and I feel hugely supported by NBCU, Working Title and Amazon. The next season will take us into a whole new imaginative world. I can’t wait to explore fresh terrain for this lonely young woman who wants only to belong, but who has to fight every day just to survive.”
