Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!

CELEBRITY WATCH PARTY: I honestly had no clue what to expect, but it felt very meta watching a TV show about celebrities watching TV.

While I absolutely refuse to watch DR. PIMPLE POPPER and mostly refused to look at the screen for this, but it was hilarious to hear the celebrities react in horror to it.

It’ll also be interesting to see how they pair celebrities with shows going forward if this is a success. This had some fun pairings, with former AMERICA’S GOT TALENT judge Sharon Osborne getting to see Jackie Evancho unmasked on THE MASKED SINGER and Steve Wozniak having fun with the virtual Kentucky Derby algorithm.

It’s also going to be interesting to see what they do and don’t pick going forward. For instance, in theory, they could have potentially shown the PARKS & REC special—especially with Rob Lowe and his kids participating—but didn’t. Would they not show AMERICAN IDOL, which used to be a Fox show? But it was fun!

(Also, loved how many pets we got to see during the hour.)
