ABC Cancels SINGLE PARENTS, EMERGENCE, BLESS THIS MESS, and KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS

SINGLE PARENTS – “Summer of Freedom” – The kids are away for the summer, and the gang looks forward to their freedom. But three months later, it looks like summer is a bust with Will doing all the things on the “Angie and Will’s List of Summer Fun” with Tracy Freeze; Angie obsessing over writing the world’s longest email to her ex; and Douglas inexplicably ghosting Poppy on their first date, on “Single Parents,” WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 25 (9:31-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. ABC has canceled comedies SINGLE PARENTS and BLESS THIS MESS (both in their second season), drama EMERGENCE (in its first), and the rebooted KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS.
This comes as SCHOOLED was also axed.
ABC firmed up its 2020-2021 schedule, handing out renewal orders to a gaggle of shows (including MIXED-ISH, THE ROOKIE, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS, and STUMPTOWN), and ordering two new shows.
