SCHOOLED won’t return for a third season, co-creator Adam F. Goldberg announced on Twitter.
“I’m breaking protocol, but wanted the @goldnerds to hear it from me,” he wrote. “@SchooledABC won’t get a season 3. Big hugs to our brilliant cast, crew & writers. I’m beyond grateful to Karey Burke and @ABCNetwork for giving us 35 episodes to show that teachers like CB are the real heroes.”

The series, set in 1990-something, followed THE GOLDBERGS’ Lainey (AJ Michalka) as she returned to teach at William Penn Academy. The comedy also starred Tim Meadows, Bryan Callen, Brett Dier, and Haneefah Wood.
SCHOOLED ended with a quasi-cliffhanger, as Lainey and CB (Dier) finally seemed on the verge of starting a relationship. (The comedy filmed its finale out of order, but was unable to complete one other episode due to the COVID pandemic.) There were frequent crossovers with SCHOOLED and THE GOLDBERGS, but it’s still TBA whether any of the characters who migrated over to SCHOOLED will pop up more frequently on THE GOLDBERGS now.
