Jimmy Kimmel to Take Summer Break from JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE
June 18, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
With both another edition of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE coming and a third gig hosting the Emmys this fall, Jimmy Kimmel is taking a brief hiatus from JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE this summer.
While making the announcement on the Thursday, June 18 episode of JKL, Kimmel noted the show will be taking a break for the next two weeks, with guest hosts stepping in to fill his shoes until he returns. As he notes in the video, he’s been doing the gig for almost 18 years—3,130 shows!—so he’s going to spend even more time with his family.
Watch the hilarious announcement, which, naturally, includes a cameo from Kimmel’s fake foe Matt Damon…
