LUCIFER Renewed for Sixth and Final Season
June 23, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
LUCIFER has been renewed for a final season–again.
After Netflix originally ordered a fifth and final season, the run was expanded and split in half (with the first eight episodes now airing in August, with the second half of the season running at some point TBA). But as production was winding down, it was rumored the show could be back, with series star Tom Ellis entering negotiations to remain with the show. (He’s since signed on.) Now, Netflix says season 6 will be the show’s last.
LUCIFER ran for its first three seasons on Fox, before Netflix came in to save it post-cancellation. The series also stars Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, and Scarlett Estevez. Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich run the series.
LUCIFER, Season Premiere, Friday, August 21, Netflix
