About Last Night…AMERICA’S GOT TALENT
July 15, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!
AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: Well, this was a weird episode, as it was a hybrid of the final batch of auditions—filmed sans an audience—and a few at-home auditions.
I’m not sure how efficiently the at-home auditions worked. They were fine, a few were enjoyable, but nothing felt grand. And the best part of the auditions was the judges’ dynamic, which makes for good television, but doesn’t necessarily make for a good competition. Truly the best at-home moment was the reveal a contestant was on a horse.
(Also, sorry, I hated the puppet act. Fake running over a dog isn’t nice or entertaining!)
