About Last Night…BIG BROTHER

Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!BIG BROTHER: After the prolonged introduction to the contestants—which was helpful on an individual level, but did nothing to really prepare me for the group dynamics—it was time for gameplay.

After last night’s episode, I’m currently on Team Kaysar and Janelle. (Though it feels like they wildly misplayed the Safety Suite? If they were in a true partnership, only one of them should have utilized it and then they’d both be safe?) And boy was Cody mad about them taking the power of HoH out of his hands.

But it definitely feels like trouble is about to boil over in a big way for Da’Vonne and Nicole F. I don’t know Nicole well enough to know if she was legit about feeling like she owes Da’Vonne for her win, but it definitely feels like Da’Vonne feels (knows?) she can’t trust Nicole and will utilize that immediately.

I was surprised how boring the reveal of the contestants in jeopardy was. You turn keys, their faces flash on the screen, you say their names, and then that’s…it? (A friend informs me it used to be more dramatic, but what a weird shift to make the potential backstabbing that understated.)

Also, I’m sorry, for as long as Janelle is in that star suit, I’m going to think of her being a character out of a Mario game.
