About Last Night…BIG BROTHER and AMERICA’S GOT TALENT
August 20, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV…
BIG BROTHER: Memphis is…so bad. I was pretty pissed he also won the Power of Veto—David’s maneuver to yelp to try and throw him made me laugh, though—but him not opting to do anything may have just A) broken his tie with his alliance and B) made it so he’s on the chopping block next week. (Of course, this assumes he doesn’t win the Safety Suite or PoV, but still.)
And Ian…poor Ian. That safety must feel good, but the randomly having to act is hilariously awkward.
AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: Well, at this point, it feels like AMERICA’S GOT TALENT exists at least halfway to promote Universal Studios. Again, it’s a hopefully once-in-a-lifetime experience to have such unlimited, patron-free access to the theme park, but…they went on the tram ride. (I want to go on the tram ride.)
I’m finding myself apathetic about the results so far. Too many good acts are going home. And oh lord, watching Alexis Brownley sob as she waited for the results was absolutely brutal. Kenan Thompson was truly the best person to speak to her first, because his kindness—clearly both from being a father and having been in the industry as a kid—was so lovely to see.
