ABC Sets Chadwick Boseman Tribute, BLACK PANTHER Airing

Marvel Studios, ABC Entertainment, and ABC News are paying tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman with a block of programming on Sunday, August 30.

At 8/7c, ABC will air BLACK PANTHER, the Oscar-winning Marvel film which starred Boseman as the title superhero/T’Challa. The movie—which will air commercial-free on the network—also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, and Angela Bassett.

At 10:20/9:20c, the network will air CHADWICK BOSEMAN—A TRIBUTE FOR A KING, an ABC News special theat will “celebrate Boseman’s storied life, legacy and career, and the cultural imprint he made on- and off-screen. It will feature tributes that have poured in from celebrities, political figures and fans across the world, special words from those who starred alongside him and knew Boseman best, and shine a light on the medical condition he privately battled.”

Boseman died after a four year battle with colon cancer. His TV credits include  LINCOLN HEIGHTS, PERSON UNKNOWN, FRINGE, JUSTIFIED, and CASTLE.
