ABC Cancels STUMPTOWN
September 16, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Months after the show was renewed, ABC has reversed course and canceled STUMPTOWN due to timing and scheduling needs, Give Me My Remote has confirmed. Deadline was first to report the news.
The Cobie Smulders-led series was renewed for a sophomore season in May, with Monica Owusu-Breen joining as the new showrunner over the summer. The drama, which was inspired by the graphic novel by the same name, also starred Michael Ealy, Jake Johnson, Tantoo Cardinal, Cole Sibus, Adrian Martinez, and Camryn Manheim.
According to Deadline, ABC Signature, the studio behind the series, will shop it elsewhere.
