SUPERGIRL to End With Season 6
September 22, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
SUPERGIRL will end with its upcoming sixth season, The CW confirmed.
The Melissa Benoist-led series will return for its final season “midseason,” though the term this year is a bit more up in the air, since The CW’s regular launch will primarily kick off in January 2021. (The final season of SUPERNATURAL and acquired shows like DEVILS and TELL ME A STORY will make up its fall launch.)
“I’m so excited that we get to plan our conclusion to this amazing journey, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have in store,” Benoist said in a statement on Instagram. “I promise we’re going to make it one helluva final season.”
SUPERGIRL’s first season ran on CBS before it shifted over to The CW in season 2.
