About Last Night…BIG BROTHER, CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD, LOVE ISLAND, and More
September 25, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!
BIG BROTHER: How absolutely enraging. Da’Vonne being so manipulated by Nicole and Dani is depressing as hell. And discovering that Da’Vonne explicitly asked Nicole to tell her the truth about her vote, because she didn’t want to be a Black woman being angry at a Black man if there was no cause and Nicole still doubled down on the lie…is gross. Because that’s exactly how this week played out. Day was angry at David, refused to hear him out, wouldn’t believe him, wouldn’t trust Kevin’s instinct that Nicole lied to them…and it directly led to her being outed. Because if Da’Vonne had trusted David and allowed him to be a player’s choice for the veto game, the men possibly wouldn’t have been suspicious about her relationship with Dani and Nicole…which made her an easy target.
Also, Nicole revealing the truth in Day’s exit video feels so dumb?? Da’Vonne is now going to go to the jury house, with that information, which could A) lead to Da’Vonne voting against Nicole moving forward and B) mean Da’Vonne shares that information with others.
A triple eviction next week should shake things up a lot. I have no faith it’ll be good, though. I imagine it will just be Kevin, David, and Dani.
CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD: Wooooooow, I’m shocked a Queen bed beat King for number one answer in the Fast Money round? I thought that second game was going to end in a depressing miss, but it’s nice that both celeb winners won it all.
LOVE ISLAND: The girls scheming to mark everything off their checklist was hilarious and adorable. (How long did it take Johnny to blow up that pineapple float?!)
But, really, what this episode helped solidify was that the best relationships coming out of the villa are absolutely the friendships. Here for Laurel and Kierstan’s friendship, and, of course, Justine and Cely’s fantastic BFFship. As long as those duos stay close post-villa, I’ll be good.
PRESS YOUR LUCK: What a truly cool idea to have former contestants come back and compete again. While I don’t know how many viewers will remember the contestants from their original go-round (even if you watch reruns on various networks, can you name many/any contestants?), but it brought a fun spark. And Theo’s first round was absolutely BONKERS?! Sad the solo one didn’t pan out quite the same way, but over $170k in cash and prizes is nothing to scoff at.
