The first part of SELENA: THE SERIES, the new limited series following Selena Quintanilla’s rise to fame, will debut on Friday, December 4, Netflix announced. The second part of the show will drop at a later date.
In the show, “before she became the Queen of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla was a young girl from Texas with big dreams and an even bigger voice. The two-part coming-of-age drama Selena: The Series explores the once-in-a-generation performer’s journey as a young artist, from singing small gigs in Corpus Christi with her family to becoming one of the most successful Latin artists of all time — and the years of grit and sacrifice the Quintanilla family navigated together before Selena’s meteoric rise to fame.” Christian Serratos plays the title character, with the drama also starring Gabriel Chavarria, Ricardo Chavira, Noemí Gonzalez, and Seidy López.

TED LASSO Season Finale Review: ‘The Hope that Kills You’

Hello, TED LASSO fans!
It’s been a pleasure to write about this show over the past few episodes (especially knowing there will be a season 2). Last week I mentioned how season finales are often used to set up plots or conflicts for the next season, and the writers did a nice job of that here with the finale, “The Hope that Kills You.”
I really liked that title and how it was applied to several characters. Last week’s episode was about taking a look in the mirror and being true to reality: Rebecca came clean with Ted and Higgins, Roy accepted his position on the bench squad, and Ted acknowledged that wanting to win (and save the team from relegation) isn’t the worst thing in the world. How did it end up? Well, read on! Read more
