About Last Night…THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, CARD SHARKS, and More
November 2, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!
THE SIMPSONS: I have such an affection for the “Treehouse of Horror” installments, and this was my favorite one in years. The animation was absolutely stunning, and the homages didn’t feel as obvious. (And, boy, did I appreciate the straight-up list at the start of the episode.)
SUPERMARKET SWEEP: Be as excited as the contestant who was so happy she legitimately shredded a head of iceburg lettuce in her hand while jumping up and down. It was incredible.
BOB’S BURGERS: Okay, a vampire blood drive sounds incredible. Bob freaking out about it made me laugh, too.
FAMILY GUY: It wasn’t an official Halloween episode, but I enjoyed the trip to CutawayLand. It was honestly such a good idea, I’m shocked this wasn’t done before.
CARD SHARKS: Oh my God, the firefighter who went all-in on a King and got an Ace?! Ouuuuuuuuuuuuch. It wouldn’t have been the biggest jackpot the show gave out if he had won, but I had this looming feeling of dread when he made the choice that somehow it was going to be an Ace. (It was very nice how Joel McHale and the card flippers tried to make him feel better after, but owwwwwwwwwww.)
