November 10, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
NBC has added another Canadian import to its lineup.
NURSES, another hospital-set drama, will air two post-THE VOICE episodes on Monday, December 7 and 14. The series will then move to a Tuesday at 10/9c timeslot on Tuesday, January 5.
The series, which was filmed and set in Toronto, “follows five young nurses working on the frontlines of a busy downtown hospital, dedicating their lives to helping others, while struggling to help themselves.” The show stars Tiera Skovbye, Natasha Calis, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Sandy Sidhu, and Donald MacLean Jr.
According to NBC, “the series launch became the most-watched premiere episode of a scripted Canadian series in over two years for total viewers” on Global TV. The show already completed filming its second year.
NURSES is executive produced by Ilana Frank, Linda Pope, Vanessa Piazza, Adam Pettle, Jocelyn Hamilton, and Tassie Cameron, with Julie Puckrin as co-executive producer.
