ABC in Early Development on ALL MY CHILDREN Primetime Series

ABC may be taking a return trip to Pine Valley.
The network is in early development on a primetime spinoff of the classic soap ALL MY CHILDREN, tentatively called PINE VALLEY.
The series, which will be penned by Leo Richardson, would follow “a young journalist with a secret agenda” who “comes to expose the dark and murderous history of a town named Pine Valley only to become entangled in a feud between the Kane and Santos families.” The series is set to dive into “all the secrets that come with the Kane and Santos family names.”
The Kane family refers to ALL MY CHILDREN icon Erica Kane (played by Susan Lucci) and her children, while the Santos family memorably includes Hayley and Mateo, played by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who are also EPs on the potential series. (No cast, new or returning, has been attached to the possible ABC series.)
Andrew Stearn, Albert Bianchini, and Robert Nixon also serve as executive producers.
The original daytime soap ran from 1970-2011, with a brief run online in 2013.
