About Last Night…THE MASKED DANCER and NAME THAT TUNE
January 7, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!
THE MASKED DANCER: I’m still not sure how I feel about the show. It’s not as compelling as SINGER, but I also think SINGER forces your attention more. I do appreciate the panel on DANCER a lot, though, because it feels like they’re taking the clue-gathering process seriously and they’re truly trying to figure it out.
NAME THAT TUNE: When I watched the episode, I initially thought this must have been a pilot that was shot pre-COVID. It wasn’t until a friend pointed out later that it was filmed internationally that it became fairly bittersweet.
The game itself was fun, but I’m hoping for a bit more chemistry moving forward with Jane and Randy. It didn’t feel like the show really knew what to do with Randy so far? I’m curious if that changes later.
