About Last Night…THE MASKED DANCER and NAME THAT TUNE

Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE MASKED DANCER: I remain passively invested in THE MASKED DANCER, but also quasi-baffled by their clues. The “Back at One” hint immediately made me think of Brian McKnght (which was right), but I also do not blame the other panelists for thinking it was an athlete. Trying to get this right feels like a delicate balance, because SINGER has so many other clues from the performance itself, but it just hasn’t hit the right spot for me.

NAME THAT TUNE: “The one with the coffee shop”…HOW DO YOU EVEN NEED TWO NOTES?

Okay, but “All That She Wants” is a song that I’ve heard easily a thousand times, but even I didn’t get that clue. And one note?!?! Wow. (I felt awful for Jenale, who exited out of the game on the third song in the final round because he misidentified “You’re Beautiful” as “Beautiful.” He was so good…what a bummer.)
