NBC Teases SUPERSTORE Series Finale

With only four episodes left of SUPERSTORE, NBC has revealed the first official details about the upcoming series finale.

In the first of the two episodes—both set to air Thursday, March 25, kicking off at 8/7c—”Perfect Store,” “Some inside information leads the Cloud 9 employees to try to make the store seem perfect for one day.” (Given how much trouble they’ve had keeping things together in light of Carol’s lawsuit…this might not end well.)

And in the finale, “All Sales Final,” “The employees celebrate the past, present and future of Cloud 9 in this hilarious and emotional series finale.”

Earlier this year, SUPERSTORE co-showrunners Jonathan Green and Gabe Miller acknowledged they had to shift into a different writing mindset to wrap up the NBC comedy.

“In general, toward the end of our seasons, we like to sometimes shake things up and cause interesting problems for our characters that will will give us something juicy to dig into next season,” Miller said at the time. “And we had some of those things in mind that we were starting to work towards [before the show was canceled]. But when you’re tying up the series, you want to leave your characters in a place that that feels satisfying and good. It’s a different set of criteria for what those final ending points are for the last episode.”

“It is a little bit of a different process where you’re not [just] trying to, obviously, tie up one season,” added Green. “We’re really trying to step back and look at the series as a whole and think, where do we want these characters to end up based on everything that’s come before? So it’s a huge task. We’ve got a big list of things that we want to try to incorporate.”
